Sergei Kozlov was born on June 15, 1964 in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from VGIK Film school in Moscow in 1989 and continued his studies in America at The Rockport, Maine Film Workshops. He worked on a variety of music videos and commercials before making his first film, Children of Iron Gods, with director Tomas Tot.
